Take This CourseABOUT THE COURSE
Scaffolds are temporary structures providing means of access and safe working platforms to facilitate working at height, and also to keep materials and tools in limited quantity. Scaffolding has a variety of applications. It is used in construction, alteration, routine maintenance and renovation activities. Use of scaffold provides safe and more convenient working conditions as compared to conventional working arrangements such as use of ladders, overhead stretching working, etc. Properly erected and maintained, scaffolding provides workers safe access to work locations, level and stable working platforms, and temporary storage for tools and materials for performing immediate tasks.
The course will provide knowledge of legal obligations contained within National & International standards for provision and use of scaffolding, the correct terminology and components, and the construction standards required to ensure safe places of work.
The course will also provide inspection techniques and the recording procedures necessary to comply with the statutory provisions. The aim of this scaffolding training is to provide the participants both theoretical and practical knowledge to enable them to erect, inspect, use and dismantle scaffolds, using standard scaffolding guidelines.
